YOGA AND DEPRESSION
The mind produces constantly thoughts, creates thought images which keep on screening on mental screen, 24hrs. The low awareness, and the defective discrimination, permit in these thoughts, to move and direct the feelings and the emotions, and in that way according their strength and force, the mind identify with them and recognize them as real. The difficult and negative thoughts have strength and gravity. Like the black color, which absorbs all the other colors in it, in that way the negative thoughts manage to hold the consciousness trapped.
The expansion of awareness brings discrimination (Viveka) and non identification (Vairaghia), qualities that help in the assumption of self responsibility for what ever happens in the daily life, moving all the levels of the existence (body, mind, emotions).
With the Yogic techniques of Meditation, we move the mental force developing the awareness. The awareness and the internal wondering are the essential gifts of each man, so in that way to become developed emotionally, to expand the higher intelligence and it's hidden dynamism.
